What's New for 2023?

The 2023 Nissan ARIYA has been highly anticipated by those in the industry who are looking for an all-electric car from the popular Japan auto manufacturer Nissan. It was scheduled to be released in the United States in late 2021, but it was delayed due to a chip shortage. This is a spacious and quiet all-electric SUV that will offer up to 304 miles of driving range on a single charge, when equipped with the larger battery pack.

While electric cars used to be boring, this one is far from it. The ARIYA offers a formidable 0-60 time, and the all-wheel-drive version is even faster. Inside, it's comfy, and there's plenty of tech, along with driver-assistance features to keep the driver and passengers safe. Simply put, the ARIYA will easily compete with other well-known brands, and if you're looking for an electric SUV with a little pep, this is one to consider.

Exterior Design and Features

While it certainly doesn't have an aggressive style, the ARIYA is nice to look at, and is based on the philosophy of Nissan "Timeless Japanese Futurism".  The Nissan ARIYA offers a fresh front end design and slim LED lighting.  It comes with features to make your life much easier such as a hands-free, motion-activated liftgate. It's about the size of the Nissan Rogue, measuring 182.9 inches long. With a moonroof, heated outside mirrors and available 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, the SUV is certainly not boring in any sense of the word.

2023 Nissan ARIYA® Interior Features

While it doesn't have the feel of a high-end sports car, the ARIYA is very quiet and driver-centric. It's crafted in a way that you and your passengers are going to enjoy the journey. It can seat up to five people comfortably and offers 59.7 cubic feet of cargo. It has a sleek design, and the dash looks modern, with no buttons or switches. You can also opt for available features such as cooled front seats, leather-appointed or cloth seating and much more.

Nissan ARIYA® Performance and Powertrain

The powertrain is where the ARIYA stands out a bit from other electric vehicles. There is an all-wheel drive option that is much quicker than the front-wheel drive option. If you opt for the E-4ORCE all-wheel-drive ARIYA, you'll enjoy a very impressive 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. This is similar to other high-end electric vehicles. The front-wheel drive version still gets you from 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. As mentioned, if you get the larger battery, the ARIYA will get approximately 304 miles on a single charge.

Advanced Safety and Driver-Assistance Systems

Nissan always strives to make safe vehicles, and every year, they improve upon their track record. The 2023 Nissan ARIYA is filled with plenty of safety features which include blind spot warning, lane departure warning, high beam assist, automatic emergency braking, including pedestrian detection. The safety features depend on the model, but many are standard.

The 2023 Nissan ARIYA hasn't been tested by either the IIHS or NHTSA yet, but crash tests have been conducted by Euro NCAP, which is a car safety performance program in Belgium. It yielded excellent safety ratings, and based on past results for other Nissan models, the ARIYA should bode well once tested in the United States.

The most convenient is the 240-V home and public charging option. There are over 90,000 charging stations available for 240-V.  The 480-V public DC quick charging is great and perfect for topping off for longer rides. If you're in a pinch, a 120-V standard outlet is the way to go for a level one charge.

While there are plenty of places to charge outside of the house, and many more to come, Nissan does offer another solution when it comes to home charging.
